Pull Back:

Alternative eco-headbandWhether you’re running, lifting or training, it’s essential to keep your hair out of your face (for your sanity and your safety). Alternative Apparel has created a headband that is the perfect mix of utility and eco-friendly materials. These eco-jersey headbands come in various patterns and colors that are colored with non-toxic, low-impacted and natural dyes. Sporting one of these will not only keep your fitness style on fleek, but be helping the planet too. Now that sounds like a win win!

Stay Fresh:

Matcha Mint BalmWe know that exercise is good for our bodies, but if we don’t take care of our skin post working out, it can take a toll in more ways than one. Having a healthy skincare regimen is vital after hitting the gym and working up a sweat, but choosing the right ingredients can make all the difference. That’s where Little Barn Apothecary comes in: a team that set out to create safe, alternative, modern apothecary goods made with organic and wild harvested ingredients; completely natural and simply made. Try giving their Matcha + Mint balm and Bamboo + Fresh Mint Clearing Spray a spin to keep your skin hydrated, naturally. It’s good for you and good for the environment.

Slap on Some SPF:

Coola spfIt’s easy to be eco-cool and safe in the sun with COOLA: an eco-conscious, smell good and organic sunscreen. With a “Farm to Face” philosophy, COOLA locally sources it’s ingredients, ensuring the organic nature of each product all while encouraging and sustaining local and organic farming, right here in sunny San Diego. Choosing an all natural, organic and cruelty free sunscreen can make all the difference when you trade in your winter fitness routine (yeah, we’re lookin’ at you, treadmill) with the great outdoors.

Wipe On, Wipe Off:

Equa towelHaving a towel in your gym bag is a must when breaking a sweat, so why not make it an eco-friendly choice? These Manduka Equa Towels are perfect for yogis and fitness nuts alike; made from recyclable, synthetic material, engineered for performance and durability. While these towels can be put through the ringer and last countless trips to the gym or studio, they can also be repossessed as a cleaning cloth after its shelf life as a fitness accessory comes to an end. Make sure you pack up this green fitness find in your gym bag! You don’t wanna be missin’ out.

Lean on Me:

Bamboo yoga blockCallin’ all yogi’s! We’ve got an eco-conscious find that’s going to make getting into those hard to reach positions that much easier; all while be sustainable: a Bamboo Yoga Block. Bamboo is the fastest-growing, most sustainable wood, period. It only makes sense to utilize this material for a fitness accessory that helps with stabilization. Say goodbye to those foam blocks and hello to your new green bff!

Take it to the Mat:

Jade yoga matHave you been looking for a high-performance, eco-conscious yoga mat? Well, look no further! Jade Yoga takes the cake with its Harmony Yoga Mat: made sustainably with natural rubber — tapped from rubber trees, which is a renewable resource — and unlike other mats contains no PVC, EVA or other synthetic rubber. The Perfect Home for your Main Squeeze:

armpocketQueue your running playlist, because this eco-friendly find makes it that much easier to bring your bulky BFF that’s always attached to our hip (yeah, we’re talking about your phone) with you on your run. Armpocket is an economical arm band made from recycled plastic bottles and naturally-sustainable, moisture-wicking bamboo. Jamming out at the gym or on your run has never been this green!

Not your Mom’s Laundry Detergent:

Buckaroo laundry detergentSlipping into yoga pants or an Nike shirt that’s so fresh and so clean clean may very well be our favorite part of the pre-workout. And, ta-dah! Buckaroo Organics is changing the laundry detergent game by tossing the traditional chemicals in laundry detergent to the way side and using 100% Certified Organic Soapberries, also known as soap nuts: fruit from trees in the Lychee family. Soap nuts contain saponins, which are natural surfactants that lower the surface tension of water and allow the water to penetrate and lift dirt and grime. The best part? The ingredients are organic, natural and safe for your entire family and the environment. Adios, sweat stains!
