Purely Elizabeth

Posted by Jessica Windell on

We love other brands who aren’t shy about boasting the goodies they bring to the table, like nutrient-rich ingredients, no refined sugar, certified gluten-free and non-gmo – just to name a few.

These attributes are why we adore Purely Elizabeth and its selection of granolas, ancient grains and oatmeals.

Elizabeth SteinPurely Elizabeth was founded by none other than Ms. Elizabeth Stein herself, though it began somewhat by accident in 2008 at the Westchester Triathlon Expo. Her intention was to get people signed up for health counseling and, in order to draw some attention to her booth, she provided hundreds of free homemade baked goods. The gluten-free creations were a hit, Elizabeth knew she was on to something.

Fast forward a few years later and Purely Elizabeth baked its way supermarket shelves, amongst some of the biggest brands in the industry.

The company puts a great deal of effort into the belief that good health goes beyond what we put in our mouths. According to Elizabeth, having a clean environment, supportive relationships, sustainable exercise routines, and balanced work/personal lives all intersect when discussing health.

As a member of One Percent for the Planet, the company donates one percent of sales to non-profit organizations striving to preserve the health of our planet and provide for future generations.

Now, about those mouthwatering mixtures:

Just a simple, yet ingenious mixture of ancient grains, oats and seeds, along with chewy dried fruit, organic coconut oil and organic coconut sugar, Purely Elizabeth concocts a perfectly crunchy, salty-sweet taste. The gluten-free granola is baked in small batches to create a purely wholesome, good-for-you treat. Perfect for breakfast with milk or yogurt, crumbled on top of fruit or as a healthy snack by itself, this line of granola will keep you fueled throughout your busy day.

Recently, Elizabeth published a collection of her favorite recipes that she’s made for her family and friends over the years. Some are healthy, some are quick, a few are even indulgent – but all the recipes focus on cooking with whole foods that are naturally gluten-free, nutrient rich, and free of refined sugar. With over 100 fun and easy to follow recipes, Eating Purely takes what Purely Elizabeth stands for and shares it with the world. And, if her current line of products is any indication, these recipes are dynamite.
